SELECTION PROCESS

  • Selection of the candidates for the post of Medical Officers (Specialists) will be based on personal interview. 
    As regards GDMOs, in the event of number of applications being large short listing of candidates for personal interview will be done by holding a written / online test tentatively during March / April 2014; in six cities i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. However, NPCIL reserves its right to reduce the number of test centers at its discretion considering the number of candidates for a particular centre and candidates will be accordingly reallocated, taking into account candidate’s preferences for test centers.
  • Based on the experience and performance in interview, applicants may be considered for additional increments.
  • The appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to medical fitness

Travel Reimbursement

Those outstation candidates, who are shortlisted and are called for interview, will be reimbursed First Class / II AC / III AC to and fro rail fare including Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express by shortest route only on production of original journey tickets for travel within India.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. A Candidate has to apply through online application form provided on the website only.
  2. The online application form will be available on the website from December 12, 2013 10:00 Hrs. to December 31, 2013 16:00 Hrs..
  3. It is mandatory to input all the relevant information (such as qualifying degree details, experience details, percentage marks, email address, contact mobile number etc.) to complete the registration and get the Registration number. Therefore, applicants are advised to keep such information ready before applying online.
  4. The Online registration process consist of following steps:
    1. Step 1: The applicant is required to furnish all basic information such as Name, Date of Birth, Category, Email, Contact mobile number, PWD details and other exemption details, if applicable. On successful completion of this stage, activation key is generated / allotted and sent to applicant's email.

    2. Step 2: The applicant is required to activate the account by entering the login, password and the activation code received through email.

    3. Step 3: On successful completion of this activation, candidates can login using their login id and password for apply online. In this step the applicant is required to fill in all details of his Educational Qualifications, Experience, choice of Written/Online Test centre in case a test is being conducted for the post etc. At this stage application should be saved as a draft using the option provided.

    4. Step 4: Applicants must upload their scanned photograph in the JPG format, of size not more than 50KB and a minimum of 125 x 165 pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions. The photo uploaded will be printed on the Admit Card and only the applicant whose photo is printed on the Admit Card will be allowed to take up the Online Test (wherever applicable). Applicants must also upload their scanned signature in JPG format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions.

    5. Step 5: Once all the above applicable steps are completed, candidate needs to submit the application by selecting the option SUBMIT after which no modifications will be allowed.

    6. Step 6: Male applicants belonging to General/OBC categories are required to make a payment of the application fee using one of the following methods:
      1. Through bank challan - The Bank Challan has to be downloaded at this step and the amount should be remitted in any branch of State Bank of India using this challan.
      2. Using SB-Collect - The SB-Collect facility can be operated using SB-Collect Payment Options with the nominal bank charges.
      After remitting the amount in SBI, the applicant has to fill in the payment details, in “Submit payment details” option. The registration number (which is printed in the bank challan and also emailed to applicant) is required to be entered asreference/registration number while making the payment of Application Fee through SB-Collect. On final submission of application the online application can be viewed / printed. The printed application is required to be brought at the time of attending interview. 

      The Online Application Process for any of the post advertised is complete only after all the above-mentioned applicable steps are complete.

  5. Application Status can be seen by the candidate using "Application Status option" after Login
  6. Initial screening is primarily based on the information provided in the online application form. It is, therefore, strongly advised that all the details should be carefully and correctly entered in online application form.
  7. Applicants are required to keep the scanned signature and photograph ready for uploading at the time of online registration.
  8. Please note that the 'Online Application Form' without valid signature and photograph will not be accepted.
