The Shipping Corporation of India Limited invites online applications from Unmarried Male and Female Indian Nationals possessing educational qualifications and age, as prescribed below, for selection as Junior-Engineer. Educational Qualification : For applying JE post, candidates should have completed Four Year Degree in Marine-Engineering (B.E. in Marine-Engineering /B.Tech. in Marine-Engineering /B.Sc. in Marine Engineering) from Directorate General of Shipping (DG), OR AICTE Approved Engineering College.


Age Limit : Maximum 28 years as on 01.04.2014. Candidate must born on or after 02.04.1986. For SC/ST candidate, on or after 02.04.1981. 


Required Medical Standard and Eye Sight : 
1. Height : Minimum 157 cms.
2. Weight: Proportionate to height and age. 
3. Hearing: Normal. 
4. Visual Standard: 6/6 (Normal Eye) and 6/9, 6/12 (With Spectacles). Defective colour vision (Colour Blindness) NOT accepted.


Consolidated Stipend : Rs. 15,000/-.


Selection Process : SCI will conduct Online written Exam to shortlist the eligible and deserving candidates. then shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview round. Only candidates qualifying in the personnel interview will be called for Medical examination.

Online Exam Pattern : The online examination will be objective type, which will cover the subjects such as Professional Knowledge, English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

1. General & UR candidates are required to pay a non refundable amount of Rs. 1000/-.
2. SC & ST Candidates are required to pay a non refundable amount of Rs. 500 excluding NEFT bank charges.
