BSF Recruitment 2014 - Sub Inspector (GD) Jobs
Directorate General Border Security Force invites applications from serving BSF Male and Female Constable , head constables and Tradesman for selection to the post of Sub Inspector (GD) through LIMITED DEPARTMENTAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION (LDCE). The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Interested Candidates may send their application in prescribed format so as to reach before 31st May, 2014. Name of Posts : Sub Inspectors (GD)
Number of posts :
1. Male SI : 184 posts
2. Female SI : 10 posts
Pay Scale : Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200 in the Pay Band-2 and other allowances as admissable from time to time.
Educational Qualification : Candidates should have done Graduation in relevant trade from a recognized University.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for appearing in the LDCE will be 32 years . Relaxation of 5 years in age limit to the candidates belonging to SC/ST is permissible. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date of submission of applications.
Physical Standard :
1. For General Male Candidates : Height : 170 cms and Chest : 85 cms expanded.
2. For ST male candidates : Height : 162.5 cms and Chest : 82 cms expanded.
3. For Female Candidates : Height : 157 cms and Chest : not applicable
Selection Process : Selection will be done on the basis of Written Examination followed by physical measurement and Medical Examination.
Scheme of Examination : Examination will consist written and Physical Test as per the standard laid down by the Staff Selection Commission as under :
Stage -I : Checking of service Records.
Stage-II : Written Examination (OMR) Based.
Stage-III : Physical Measurements.
Stage-IV : Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Stage-V : Medical Examination
Syllabus of Written Examination : objective type multiple choice questions consisting of 200 marks with 3½ hours duration.
1. General Intelligence and reasoning
2. General Awareness and professional knowledge
3. Numerical ability
4. Comprehension and communication skill
Process for Applying Offline : Candidates are requested to download the Application form through BSF official website, then take print out and fill the form and along with attested copies of certificates/documents send it to address given in the notification.
