Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Commandant posts :

Educational Qualification with Age Limit :

General Duty	Bachelor’s degree of recognized  university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education with 60% aggregate marks of both  subjects.	01 Jul 1990  to  30 Jun 1994
General Duty 1.  Pilot 2.  Navigator       Or Observer		01 Jul 1990 to  30 Jun 1996
Technical branch (Mechanical &  Electrical)	1. Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate. 2.  60% marks in aggregate in Physics and Maths in 12th class.  or Three year diploma course with an aggregate of  60%	01 Jul 1990 to  30 Jun 1994 (both dates inclusive)
Short Service Appointments :  Short Service Appointments as Assistant Commandant for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable up to  14 years.
Pilots(Helicopter and fixed wing) Commercial Pilot  License holders	12th class pass with 60% marks in  aggregate and should possess current /  valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Approved by DGCA.	01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1996 (both dates inclusive)
General Duty (Women)	Bachelor’s degree of recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.	01 Jul 1990 to 30 Jun 1994 .

  

Selection Procedure : Selection Methodology will comprise 2 stages of Selection as mentioned below.
A. Stage-I : Preliminary Selection : It will consist of Mental Ability Test/Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). 

B. Stage -II : Final Selection : The candidates qualifying above Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection. The Final Selection will consist of Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test). 

Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 - Rs. 39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400/-
