School Education Department, Govt. of Punjab has issued PSTET 2014 Notification on its official portal www.tetpunjab.com . Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2014 will be held on 10th August, 2014 for those candidates who want to become teacher of primary class and Elementary class. Eligible and Interested candidates may fill PSTET 2014 Online Application form from 07th July to 18th July, 2014.

Eligibility Criteria for PSTET 2014
Educational Qualification : The Candidates must possess following min. educational qualification for appearing in PSTET :
1. For those who want to become Teacher for Classes I to V : Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
2. For those who want to become Teacher for Class VI to VIII : Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
PSTET 2014 Examination Structure : PSTET will be held in 2 papers as mentioned below :
1. Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
2. Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Syllabus of Paper-I :
1. Child Development and Pedagogy : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
2. Language I : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
3. language II : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
4. Mathematics : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
5. Environmental Studies : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
Syllabus of Paper-II :
1. Child Development and Pedagogy : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
2. Language I : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
3. language II : 30 MCQs, 30 marks
4. a. For Mathematics and Science Teacher : 60 MCQs, 60 marks
b. For Social Studies/Social Science Teacher : 60 MCQs, 60 marks
c. For any other Teacher-either (a) or (b)
Application fee :
1. For those who want to appear for Paper I or Paper II :
a. General/BC/OBC Candidates need to remit the amount of Rs. 600/-.
b. SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates need to remit the amount of Rs. 300/-.
2. For those who want to appear for Paper I and Paper II (both) :
a. General/BC/OBC Candidates need to remit the amount of Rs. 1200/-.
b. SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates need to remit the amount of Rs. 600/-.
How to Apply : Willing Candidates need to register their applications through Online mode on official portal www.tetpunjab.com . On successful submission of application form online, candidates need to send print out copies of filled application form that should be dispatched in an envelope of Size 12X9 and paste address slip on the envelope at the following address :
