Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade 'C' and Stenographer Grade 'D'. Its a good opportunity for 12th Pass Students to get SSC jobs. Interested Candidates may apply by filling SSC Stenographer Online Application Form on or before 27th June, 2014. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification , age etc. as mentioned below to check their eligibility for Apply.

2. Stenographer Grade 'D' : 496 posts
Eligibility Conditions for SSC Stenographer posts :
Educational Qualification : Candidates should have passed 12th Class (Matriculation with HSC) or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Age Details : Candidates wishing to apply for Stenographer post must belong to age group of 18 years to 27 years as on 01st August, 2014, i.e Candidates born not earlier 02nd August, 1987 and not later 01st August, 1996. Age relaxable of 5 years for SC/ST, 03 yrs for OBC, 10 yrs for PH, 13 yrs for PH+OBC, 5 yrs for PH+SC/ST candidates.
Mode of Selection : Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test on the basis of their performance in the written Examination. Candidates who will be qualified in Skill Test will be appointed on Stenographer posts.
Scheme of Written Examination : The written examination will consist of one objective type paper. The questions except in Part III will be set both in English and Hindi. There will be -ve marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC Steno Skill Test Pattern 2014:
1. For Stenographer Grade 'D' -> 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi)
2. For Stenographer Grade 'C' -> 40 minutes (English), 55 Minutes (Hindi)
Application Fee : Candidates need to pay Rs. 100 either through SBI challan or through Online payment through SBI in the case of Online-Application. SC/ST/PWD/Women Candidates and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
How to Apply : Aspirants has choice to apply for Stenographer post. They may fill for form either through Online or through Offline mode.
1. For Online submission : The Online submission of the Application may be made at website www.ssconline.nic.in . The filling of Online Application form contains 2 parts , i.e Part I Registration & Part II registration. The Candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the Online form.
2. For Offline Submission : Candidates are required to download the application form through SSC portal www.ssc.nic.in . Fill all the required particulars and along with required certificates (that format should be downloaded from website) forward it to address given in the notification.
